    SDS Preparation Process in Türkiye

Safety Data Sheets for detergents in Türkiye must be prepared in accordance with the KKDIK Regulation, the SEA Regulation, and the Regulation on Detergents. The SDS preparation process can be summarized as follows:

    1. Safety Data Sheets must be prepared by professionals who hold a Chemical Assessment Expert Certificate authorized by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change of the Republic of Türkiye.
    2. One of the most critical steps in preparing the SDS is to ensure the correct hazard classification of the product in accordance with the SEA Regulation (Turkey CLP). Based on the classification results, the appropriate pictograms, signal words, hazard statements (H-statements), and precautionary statements (P-statements) to be used on the label are determined.
    3. A compliant SDS under Turkish legislation must consist of 16 sections and be prepared in Turkish. These sections are as follows:
      1. Identification
      2. Hazards Identification
      3. Composition/Information on Ingredients
      4. First Aid Measures
      5. Firefighting Measures
      6. Accidental Release Measures
      7. Handling and Storage
      8. Exposure Controls/Personal Protection
      9. Physical and Chemical Properties
      10. Stability and Reactivity
      11. Toxicological Information
      12. Ecological Information
      13. Disposal Considerations
      14. Transport Information
      15. Regulatory Information
      16. Other Information

4- Safety Data Sheets must be kept up to date and reviewed regularly to ensure ongoing compliance with current legislation.
